The trendy chalky effect is now also available on heat-resistant and smooth materials. With KREUL Glass & Porcelain "Chalky" paints, you can decorate glass and porcelain with velvety matte finishes and create a wide variety of effects.
The paint offers good coverage and dries with a chalk-like finish . The paints can be thinned as desired using the KREUL Glass & Porcelain “Paint Thinner,” allowing you to achieve unique watercolor effects. KREUL Glass & Porcelain “Chalky” paints combine exceptionally well with the other variants in the KREUL Glass & Porcelain series, allowing you to create unique designs and add various accents.
This allows you to create beautiful and long-lasting decorations on glass, porcelain, ceramics, metal, or terracotta . The glass and porcelain paint is applied with a hair brush of any thickness. A pencil is recommended for freehand drawings . Be sure not to paint over the lines so that they can be easily removed after firing. Graphite paper works very well for transferring designs .
Important! Surfaces that come into contact with food must not be painted with KREUL Glass & Porcelain paint, as it is not food-safe. The rims of drinking vessels or the inner surfaces of glasses and cups, serving and eating areas, as well as the cut edges of plates should be left unpainted.
After a drying time of approximately 4 hours, the design can be fired at approximately 160 °C. To do this, place the item in a cold oven and then turn on the oven. The firing time of 90 minutes begins only after the required temperature has been reached. To complete the firing process correctly, the item must cool down inside the oven. Afterward, the paint is waterproof, dishwasher-safe, and saliva-resistant.
As long as the paint hasn’t been baked, the design can be easily removed with water. This allows you to create temporary designs with a wide variety of effects on many plastics, mirrors, and acrylic glass.
